Phonofun

This card game was designed for beginning and struggling readers to strengthen their phonological awareness skills. Each card presents a picture of an object and the spelling of the word. On the back side of each card, are three phonology and/or phonics related trivia questions to play with the letters and sounds present in the word. The questions are designed to target a variety of foundational literacy skills such as number of phonemes; deletion, addition, and substitution; first, middle, and last sounds; digraphs, trigraphs, and "silent" letters; and voiced, unvoiced, and schwa sounds.
